[pt] O presente trabalho tem por objetivo propor a análise de estruturas compostas a partir do verbo pegar e seus diferentes usos na Língua Portuguesa falada no Brasil. A teoria escolhida para embasar este trabalho está intimamente ligada ao Funcionalismo, mais especificamente aos pressupostos teóricos da Gramática Funcional de Michael A. K. Halliday, que observa a forma como a língua é usada por seus falantes. A metodologia utilizada na pesquisa tem base qualitativa, ou seja, foi feita uma análise conceitual das ocorrências do verbo pegar em expressões do português do Brasil. Contudo, alguns dados foram analisados levando-se em consideração sua frequência de uso em ambientes formais ou informais de comunicação. A partir desse estudo, esperamos estabelecer uma relação entre semântica e pragmática, a fim de possibilitar ao falante-aprendiz uma maior aproximação da fala materna e uma melhor interpretação nas diferentes situações de comunicação.

[en] The present paper aims to propose the analysis of structures composed from the verb pegar and its different uses in the Portuguese language spoken in Brazil. The theory chosen to support this work is closely linked to Functionalism, more specifically to the theoretical assumptions of Michael A. Halliday s Functional Grammar, which looks at how language is used by its speakers. The methodology used in the research has a qualitative basis, that is, a conceptual analysis of the occurrences of the verb pegar in Brazilian Portuguese expressions. However, some data were analyzed taking into account their frequency of use in formal or informal communication environments. From this study, we hope to establish a relationship between semantics and pragmatics, in order to enable the learner-speaker to better approximate the native s speech and a better interpretation in the different communication situations.
