[pt] Sobre o conceito de comunidade em Kierkegaard: a crítica de Kierkegaard à multidão e à Igreja é mais bem entendida se contrastada não com o indivíduo singular, mas com a comunidade. De acordo o filósofo dinamarquês, o indivíduo encontra a si próprio em Deus, mas engana-se quem pensa que ele se fecha em si mesmo por causa disso. Ao tomar o Deus-homem como o seu modelo, o indivíduo se abre radicalmente à alteridade – da mesma forma que, embora em outro sentido, Deus se abre radicalmente à alteridade ao tornar-se homem, rebaixando-se para vir ao nosso encontro. O essencialmente cristão implica necessariamente a responsabilidade com relação ao próximo e é justamente a partir dessa relação responsável e desinteressada com o próximo que podemos falar de uma comunidade. O conceito de comunidade (Menighed) surge, então, como um modelo ideal de associação que, apesar de compartilhar a mesma estrutura que existe por trás de qualquer outro grupo, não se identifica nem com a multidão nem com a cristandade. Só na comunidade o indivíduo é capaz de desenvolver plenamente o seu caráter ético-religioso e, de modo geral, a sua própria subjetividade.

[en] On the concept of community in Kierkegaard: Kierkegaard s critique of the crowd and the Church is better understood when contrasted not with the single individual, but with the community. According to the Danish philosopher, the individual finds himself in God, but it is a mistake to think that he closes himself off because of that. By taking the God-man as his model, the individual radically opens himself out to the others—in the same way that, although in a different sense, God radically opens Himself to the others by becoming man, and, consequently, demeaning Himself to reach us. The essentially Christian necessarily implies the responsibility for the neighbor, and we are only allowed to talk about community when there is such a responsible, unselfish relation to the neighbor. Therefore, the concept of community (Menighed) appears as the ideal model, different of the crowd and the Christendom, although all of them share the same basic structure. Only in the community the individual is able to fully develop his ethical-religious character, and, generally speaking, his own subjectivity.
