[pt] Este trabalho teve como objetivo geral compreender a rede de relações familiares que envolve a criança, filha de mãe adolescente. Nessa configuração familiar, investigamos a participação de diferentes membros da família, quais sejam: o pai da criança, a mãe e uma das avós. Interessava-nos, mais especificamente, compreender como se constituem as redes de crenças e desejos das pessoas que se envolvem com os cuidados e afetos dessa criança e a ética que rege esse grupo familiar no que diz respeito a ela. Realizamos a coleta de dados, utilizando uma entrevista semi-estruturada. Das 08 famílias participantes da investigação, tivemos acesso a 08 mães, 04 pais e 06 avós, todos procedentes da cidade do Recife e de padrão socioeconômico e cultural médio. As entrevistas foram todas gravadas e transcritas literalmente. Realizamos uma análise do conteúdo das narrativas desses participantes, buscando detectar sua rede de crenças e desejos desde que tomaram ciência da gravidez até o momento atual. Os resultados nos mostram que o casal parental geralmente se casa (casamento legal ou união consensual) logo após receber a notícia da gravidez, porém essas uniões têm curta duração, o que vai acarretar pouca convivência do pai da criança com ela. Há um predomínio da presença feminina nessas configurações familiares (mães e avós). Os cuidados e afetos são responsabilidades, principalmente das mães, porém, com a ajuda das avós maternas, que são também as principais responsáveis pela manutenção da criança. As crianças são vistas, pelos familiares, como inteligentes, com bom vocabulário e centro das atenções familiares.

[en] The general objective of this paper is to understand the network of family relationships which involves a child who is the daughter of a teenage mother. Within this family configuration, we investigate the participation of different family members, whoever they may be: the child's father, the mother and one of the grandmothers. More specifically, we were interested in understanding the make-up of the networks of beliefs and the wishes of the people who are involved with the care and affection of this child and the ethics which govern this family group with respect to the child. We collected data using a semi-structured interview. Of the 08 families taking part in the investigation, we had access to 08 mothers, 04 fathers and 06 grandmothers, all resident in the city of Recife and having an average socio-economic and cultural standard of living. AlI the interviews were taped and literal transcripts made. We analyzed the content of the participants' narratives, seeking to detect their network of beliefs and wishes from the moment they knew they were pregnant until the date of interview. The results showed us that the natural parents normalIy get married (either legal marriage or by agreed co-habitation) soon after receiving news of the pregnancy. However, these unions do not last long. This results in the father having little contact with his child. The female presence predominates in these configurations (mothers and grandmothers). Giving care and affection is mainly the responsibility of the mothers, with maternal grandmothers helping out. Responsibility for maintaining the child also falls mainly on them. The children are regarded by family members, as being intelligent, having a good vocabulary and being the center of family attention.
