[pt] A Igreja do mundo inteiro se prepara para acompanhar a XIV Assembleia Geral Ordinária do Sínodo dos Bispos que será realizada em Roma entre os dias 4 e 25 de outubro de 2015 e que terá como tema: A vocação e a missão da família na Igreja e no mundo contemporâneo. Uma adequada preparação para acompanhar as reflexões durante o Sínodo e para acolher as suas disposições conclusivas não pode negligenciar a história precedente na qual a Igreja manifestou sua reflexão sobre o tema do matrimônio e da família e demonstrou sua solicitude pastoral neste âmbito de sua missão. Em virtude dessa necessidade de considerar a história, propomos esse artigo com o objetivo de refletir, em linhas gerais, sobre alguns dos principais documentos papais e conciliares tentando compreender, com os olhos da Igreja, o contexto dentro do qual a família se inseriu ao longo dos últimos 90 anos, os efeitos que esta realidade teve sobre a família e o matrimônio e quais as indicações pastorais dadas pela Igreja a este respeito.

[en] The worldwide Church prepares to follow the XIV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops to be held in Rome between 4 and 25 October 2015 and whose theme will be: The vocation and mission of the family in the Church and in the contemporary world. An adequate preparation to track the reflections during the synod and to host its concluding provisions cannot neglect the previous history in which the Church expressed his reflection on the theme of marriage and the family and demonstrated his pastoral concern in this area of her mission. Because of this need to consider the history, we propose this article in order to reflect, in general, some of the major papal and conciliar documents trying to understand, with the eyes of the Church, the context in which the family was inserted along the past 90 years, the effects that this situation had on the family and marriage and which the pastoral guidelines given by the Church in this regard.
