[pt] O presente trabalho aborda questões relativas às conseqüências advindas do processo de divórcio para as crianças e a maneira como os avós podem ajudar nesse momento. Salientou-se a importância da relação intergeracional para a saúde da família, ou seja, o quanto os netos, os próprios avós e o casal divorciado se beneficiam com essa relação, embora se tenha dado maior atenção aos benefícios proporcionados à geração mais nova. Salientamos ainda que, malgrado a ênfase esteja nas conseqüências negativas do divórcio, é mister considerar as conseqüências positivas desse processo. Finalmente, alertamos para a necessidade de se avaliar cada família individualmente, levando em consideração os fatores que lhe são inerentes.

[en] This text, wants to approach relative subjects to the consequences of divorce process for the children, as well as the waythatthe grandparents could help in this moment. It was pointed out the importance of the intergeracional relationship for the family healthy, it seaws, that grandsons, the own grandparents and the divorced couple, had gotten benefits with that relationship, although it has given larger attention to the benefits caused for the newestgeneration. We pointed out although, the emphasis is in the negative consequences of divorce, it is important to consider the positive consequences of this process. Finally, we alert for the need of evaluating each family individually taking in consideration the factors which are inherent to them.
