[pt] Este artigo investiga as práticas e representações imagéticas da primeira casa litográfica comercial do Estado de Minas Gerais - a Litografia a vapor de Pietro Biancovilli1, fundada na cidade de Juiz de Fora, em 1888. Toma-se como fonte primária o Álbum 6 de litografias do Arquivo Histórico da Fundação Museu Mariano Procópio de Juiz de Fora, no qual elegeu-se uma amostragem de doze impressos comerciais para proceder a tal exame. Analisa especialmente o processo de composição visual dos rótulos de cerveja que estão vinculadas à memória gráfica no âmbito juiz-forano. O recorte temporal se inicia em 1888, quando o imigrante italiano chega ao Brasil, e termina no ano de 1914, quando se encerra suas atividades comerciais.

[en] This paper studies the practices and imagistic representations of the first commercial lithographic house of the State of Minas Gerais- steam lithography of Pietro Biancovilli founded in the city of Juiz de Fora, in 1888. Album 6 of lithographs of the Historical Archive of the Mariano Procópio Museum Foundation of Juiz de Fora was taken as a primary source, in which a sampling of 12 commercial printings was selected in order to carry out such an examination. The process of visual composition of beer labels, linked to graphical memory in the field of the Juiz-forano was analyzed particularly. The time frame begins in 1888, when the Italian immigrant arrived in Brazil, and ends in the year 1914, when his business activities were completed.
