Resumo
[pt] Centrando-me nas obras dos pensadores Locke, Voltaire e Mill, busco traçar as
raízes da (in)tolerância na época medieval e a luta pela tolerância na
modernidade. Longe de haver um fim à intolerância, a luta continua e está,
hoje, na agenda da educação, visto que têm emergido discussões sobre
bullying, preconceito, discriminação, violência, tanto dentro quanto fora da
escola.
Resumo
[en] Focusing on the thought of the thinkers Locke, Mill and Voltaire, I
attempt to trace the roots of intolerance in Medieval Times and the struggle for
tolerance in the Modernity. Far from having put an end to the intolerance, the
struggle against it continues and today it is on the education agenda, once the
discussions about bullying, prejudice, discrimination, and violence are
emerging, both inside and outside the school.
