[pt] Proponho com este trabalho incitar uma reflexão sobre o papel do professor de ensino
superior que atua na formação de docentes para a educação básica e relacioná-la com o
direito à educação para todos. Discute-se o papel da universidade do século XXI, no que
diz respeito a sua responsabilidade com a construção de uma escola democrática e que
garanta a igualdade de condições de acesso e permanência aos educandos, em todas as
etapas da educação, especialmente a educação superior. No âmbito da prática, incluemse
reflexões e evidências de pesquisas sobre o ensino superior nas licenciaturas, bem
como a análise referente a algumas áreas de conhecimento de formação para as
licenciaturas da Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
Resumo
[en] This paper has as objective to encourage a reflection on the relationship between the
higher education teacher s role in teacher training for primary education, and the right to
education for all. It discusses the role of the twenty-first century university regarding their
responsibility for the construction of a democratic school which should ensure equal
conditions of access and permanence to the students at all stages of education, especially
the higher education one. In the scope of practice, it is included both the reflections and
research evidences about higher education in undergraduate and the analysis regarding
some training knowledge areas for undergraduate of the School of Education at the
Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
