Resumo
[en] The aim of this monograph is to share some co-constructed understandings of a
case study of an English student and her teacher, at a private course in Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. The investigative purpose of this study had two objectives: 1) to observe the
learner’s autonomous actions during a project on the target language inside and outside
the classroom; and 2) to seek a better understanding, between the two practitioners, of
the learning opportunities unveiled during the classes. All of the socio-pedagogic
encounters were tape-recorded and then analysed using the principles of Exploratory
Practice as the framework for the investigation, combined with an ethnographic,
naturalistic and non-interventionist approach.
