Resumo
[pt] O objetivo desta dissertação é verificar até que ponto o
ensino da literatura
em contexto escolar de ensino médio garante a contento a
formação do leitor.
Apesar dos esforços empreendidos pelas instituições
formais de educação e da
garantia do espaço reservado ao ensino da leitura e, em
especial, da leitura do
texto literário, a forma com que vem sendo conduzido gerou
um curto-circuito,
uma incompreensão de seu valor estético, o que prejudica o
gosto pela leitura e o
despertar crítico dos estudantes. Atualmente, a leitura da
literatura na escola
transforma-se em instrumento de estabilização e de
domesticação dos alunos - e
da literatura. Promover uma mudança de paradigma e de
mentalidade coloca-se
como um dos desafios aos que se dedicam à construção do
discurso literário. É
preciso redimensionar a própria literatura, uma vez que há
demanda de novas
maneiras de definir e localizar os estudos literários. As
idéias teóricas estão
entrelaçadas com um percurso de busca de estratégias que
garantam o direito à
literatura dos leitores em formação. A aquisição de uma
visão plural que dê conta
de abraçar a variedade de produções no âmbito da
literatura, a fim de valorizar
adequadamente o fenômeno poético, tornar-se-á uma meta
para que alunos e
professores possam compartilhar a fruição da leitura
literária.
Resumo
[en] The purpose of this essay is to check to what extent the
teaching of
literature in high school environment proves to be
effective in the formation of
readers. In spite of all endeavours made by formal
educational institutions and the
space preserved to the teaching of reading and in special,
the reading of the
literary text, the way this teaching is being performed
has created a short-circuit, a
misunderstanding of its esthetic value, causing the taste
for reading and the
critical awakening of the students great damage. At
present, literature reading in
school has become an instrument of stabilization and
taming of students and
literature. Promoting a change in paradigm and mind
conception appears to be one
of challenges to those devoted to the construction of
literary discourse. It is
necessary to find new dimensions to literature, since
there is a demand for new
ways of defining and placing literary studies. The
theoretical ideas are interlaced
with a way of searching strategies that may assure the
access to literature of the
readers being formed. The acquisition of a plural view
that is able to embrace the
great phenomenon will become an aim to be achieved by both
students and
teachers so that they may share the pleasure of literary
reading.
