The present work aims to observe the physical perceptions in the trance process of community members already initiated in candomblé after a field research carried out between 2018 and 2019, from a comparative perspective with the vertigo of the body during the creation of a performance. By standing on a boundary between academic essay and literary narratives, we seek to understand trance as a possible aesthetic laboratory for the composition of the movement, in which I am interested in the threshold between the body codes of those who perform and those he experiences the experience of incorporation into religion as a form of body writing, be it aesthetic or political. At the same time, it proposes a discussion about the violent and prejudiced attacks that Afro-Brazilian religions face, allowing, from a look at candomblé practices, a public space for political reflection in addition to a matter of aesthetic fruition. This work involves the writing of my memories of candomblé since childhood, of narratives produced from experiences and conversations noted in my field notebook during visits to the terreiros and rehearsals at an artistic residency at the Coreographic Center of the City of Rio de Janeiro. In this way, it is proposed to observe the traditional codes reproduced in the rituals as a method of composing the performance Transe, and above all, the production of a poetic writing from that place of affection, political construction and experience.
