Bearing in mind that the biblical text of the hymn of Rev. 19:1-8 is the only alleluiatic hymn throughout the literature of the New Testament and of the fi rst century of Christianity, as well as taking into account the liturgical use of this hymn over centuries of Church tradition, in his Liturgy of the Hours,predominating in the Second Vespers of the Sundays of Common Time and Paschal Time, not invading only the Sundays of Lenten Time, is that we want to analyze this text, starting from its Old Testament basis (many Psalms e Is 61:10), and to perceive what it has so singular, in order to understand the use that the Church has always made of it in his liturgy, from his birth period, through the centuries, to this day. Another important point is to understand the use from its liturgical context, focal point in the transmission of the faith of the Church, which constitutes the praying assembly, which gathers to praise and bless the Lord of life, his beloved and bridal husband, assuming prophetism in the liturgy.
