The constant worry about the environment has made companies to rethink their productive processes, by adding to them technology that does not attack or even reduces the environmental impacts. This preoccupation has been creating new niches of business and new opportunities of market for companies that use their knowledge on the topic so as to offer support to environmental management for other companies. This study covers the case of the company TRIBEL (Treatment of Residues of Belford Roxo), which acts in the field of consultancy and installment of service of environmental Residues Management, by seeking to identify what characteristics it has to keep itself in the market and, as the same time, to get profit for its shareholders. Thus, it is interesting to understand how a company that works with industrial residues attends to its consumers with technology offered by the market. Before environmental Management, there was a very risky choice to the companies. But nowadays, the environmental Management must be present in all companies; and there are few companies with the pattern of TRIBEL to provide support for environmental Management that any company needs. TRIBEL is, therefore, a case of success that deserves special attention for being an innovator company within its field of business. The results of this study show that, between other aspects, TRIBEL business has become possible due to the fact that this company was born from the junction of efforts from two big multinational companies. Its actual position is benefited by the existence of important barriers of entrances around its sector of activity, owing to the high investments required. One of the biggest challenges for the growth of this company is the lack of qualified labor in the market for working within this field.
