This thesis seeks to contribute to studies on the possible paths engendered by marxist feminist thought with regard to the conquest of rights and the extension of democracy. Considering the social condition of women as a privileged place of analysis, this thesis investigates how the advento of modernity and capitalism defined the functions and subordinate places that should be performed and occupied by women, which reflected in the inequality of rights and, therefore, in the implementation of a limited model of democracy. However, with the formation of socialist thought, at the end of the 19th century, there is the emergence of an emancipatory project that intends to put an end to gender and class oppression. That is, since the advent of Marx s thought, there have been efforts that take into account the need to transform the social condition of women as an indispensable element in the fight against capitalism towards revolution. In this way, the trajectory of reinvigorated marxista thought at the beginning of the 21st century is analyzed, for which the women s question presents itself as an unavoidable element for the formation of the class struggle, the extension of democracy and the fight against capitalism.
