The work presented here deals with meanings put into operation in everyday life, articulates passions and dreams, addresses achievements and actions to understand the functioning of social relations that are juxtaposed by tensions and conflicts. But it is about specific dreams, singular desires that evoke the realization / permanence of a unique story, it highlights the particularity and the mobilization of specific subjects, the children of Maria Conga. We aim to analyze some implications on the possible demarcation of an incident symbolic territory with a functional territory, taking as an example the desires, utopias, challenges and some contradictions in Quilombo Maria Conga in Magé-RJ. We emphasize, for the attempt to reach the reality always fleeting, the difficulty for the claim of the symbolic territory that crosses issues such as: the constitution of the identity of the subjects of the community related to the entry and performance of new agents that affect such identity, where the contradiction between the common and the private is expressed in the territorial configuration, added to the obstacles promoted by the juxtapositions between the fomal-institutionalized territorial logic (legal-administrative) formulated by the municipal public power in the definition of the neighborhood, and the non-formal territorial logic, which transcends the neighborhood boundaries, expressed by the identitarian-symbolic meanings (by the scale of the symbolic dimension of power). We contribute analytically to the emphasis on the valorization of simple gestures, the valorization of subordinate embodied subjects, in the expression of the lived practice that protects a political conduct that can be very powerful. This power can be expanded with the theoretical-methodological stance that inserts becoming as a broad and concrete possibility that can lead to transformations that induce the becoming of community territory, of the territory where the pride of being quilombola rests, an expression of a history of resistance, struggle and strength. Our approach to the Territories of Hope mobilizes for the conduct of urban activity linked to our liberation, architects of our own life, with the ability to imagine and live the hope of change.
