Based on the National Policy for Confronting Human Trafficking in Brazil, the present work sheds light on the nexus of migration and human trafficking based on the changing migratory profile in the territory. Since 2006, the country has produced public policies aimed at combating the crime in question, in order to elaborate national plans that have pillars in common: prevention, repression of criminals and attention to victims, the so-called triple approach. Considering the third na-tional plan in force until 2022, and taking into account the increased flow of immi-grants in Brazil, especially Venezuelans, it is analyzed that the Brazilian ambitions would be little consistent with the specific needs of groups mapped as more vulner-able, such as immigrant women. Based on the analysis of Colombian and Chilean practices, positions of governments will be identified that consider in a more evident way the issues of gender and immigration, respectively. The objective, therefore, is to elaborate a recommendation of adequacy of the Brazilian public policy of combat to the human traffic, with the prevision of national goals in attention to the presence of the feminine and immigrant population in a more objective way in order to find in the national plan those that today are lost. Thus, the path to be followed has an introduction on the theme of human trafficking in Brazil, to delimit in the second section the directives of the public policy established based on international commitments, such as the Palermo Protocol (2000). In a third moment, the situation of Venezuela is described to build the narrative of the case studies: Colombia and Chile. After the analysis of possible good practices from neighboring countries, the fourth section is inserted, suggesting adaptations of the Brazilian national plan to finally detail the final considerations.
