ROOT LOCUS PLOT

EXERCISE 1

Consider the system represented by the block diagram and its corresponding Root Locus Plot:


a) Use the Root Locus Plot to determine the maximum value of K before the system becomes unstable. Use the choice of limits of the graphic function (below) to better visualize and determine an approximate value for K.
b) For the value of K determined in a), compute the value of the gain and the interval of the values of K that make the system stable. Use the magnitude of vectors to compute the gain.
