A speed controller for cars is to be designed. It can be modelled by the following system:


The objective is to achieve an accurate speed control. An accurate control is specified as the one that will let the speed be 2% close to the set value in 1.6 seconds.

a) Use the Root Locus Plot to determine the point where the system shows the desired behavior and compute the corresponding value of K.
b) Compute the natural damped frequency ωd.
c) Compute the damping ratio ζ.
d) Compute the maximum overshoot Mp.
