Resumo:
The research aims to investigate the educational project of the Salesians Sisters at the Teacher Training College N. S.Auxiliadora (Our Lady Help of Christians) in Campos/RJ, and the identity weaving of the catholic teacher: 1937-1961. The period comprises the negotiations to establish the course until the publication of the LDB, n. 4.024/61. It is a pioneering pedagogic experience of catholic teachers training, in Campos, in northern Rio de Janeiro. The aim is to understand the Congregation educational program through the analysis of the profile of the Salesian teacher as well as the process of identity construction of the normalist (female teacher trainee). To understand how this school translated, through its practices, its teaching methods, its environment, the movement of school modernization of the time. To observe the school and religious forms of socialization which make up the identity of the students, the religiousethos which pervaded the social setting and the professional experience.Privileged sources are the school documents: Foundation Minutes, school prospectus, Chronicle of the College, the School regulations, Reports of the Principals and Inspectors, Inspectors visiting terms, Official correspondence, Inventory of the furniture and material used in the classes, Programs of the Disciplines, Enrollment and Diplomas books, testimonials from former students and old teachers, bibliographical survey of magazines and Salesian newsletters, city newspapers and Pastoral letters of the Diocesan Bishops, among other documents, which characterize an important collection from the regional education history point of view. The sources come from the College archive, three private archives of the Salesian provinces (SP, MG, RJ), the Salesian Center for Documentation and Research /MG, of the National Library/RJ and Archives of the Diocese of Campos. It is based on the approach by François Dubet on the professionals that relate to the work on the other, which assumes that the work in and on the otherin its origins was designed as an institutional program, designating a mode of socialization or a type of relationship with the other. In Claude Dubar about the professionalization process, understood as a socialization process, which is developed along the professional trajectory of the individual. The professional identity of the normalists(female teacher trainee) is marked by the specificity of the socialization method of the Salesians which implied the internalization/externalization of the catholic ethos. The catholic religious educator was a model for many normalists, young women who sought in the teaching profession classical education, the economic stability, social recognition and professional achievement. The evidence of the practices developed for the training of the teacher was detected by amorevolezza (affection), by engaging and continuing education in the association of former students.
